Elizabeth’s work looks at emerging the present with future intentions, exploring into the ideas of dystopian landscapes and futuristic concepts, looking at the physical growth of nature and the evolutionary effect of humans through disaster events. More recently she has developed her practice using repetitive lines displaying direction of flow based off the notion of emergence and emanation from a point, studying into the spread of disease and the evacuation of an area. She shows this through the process of installation, line drawings and paintings to experiment and create random patterns allowing the natural flow to develop into a piece of work.

Her time as an artist has involved local exhibitions including HyperSTEW, Centrala, Digbeth in 2019 and more recently in 2020 an exhibition at the Birmingham School of Art.

Elizabeth has applied to do a Postgraduate degree in Education and is looking at becoming a primary school teacher in the near future.

Post-Distance

Post-Distance is a crucial display of work by final year, graduating BA (Hons)Fine Art students. It represents their commitment and ingenuity, a testament to their resilience at the end of a difficult year. Working across different media and contexts, this exhibition highlights what is possible, how limitations need not restrict and how it is always a good time to be artist.
