Kelly Ansell is a British artist, based in the West Midlands, currently working, and studying in Birmingham, UK.
Her practice explores nature and the emotional connection between a place and their memories.
My recent piece called ‘The Petals Still Fall’ she explores nature around the nature reserve Sandwell Valley, a place she holds dear to her. She uses petals, flowers and leaves and spray paints over the top of them to create a frozen like look to them, this connotes memories being frozen and time which can’t be given back.
Kelly enjoys working with places she has been to, places which hold memories and nature.
