I usually paint and use textiles to create what I see in my dreams. My dreams are always so vivid and trigger my bad days. I found that creating art from such ‘dreams’ establishes a form of escape that allows me to offload all that keeps me holding back. Before starting university, I found research stressful as I would always put myself down on my skill level – wishing I could paint like my favourite artists. Allowing my research to inspire me and support my developments rather than intimidate me, I have achieved such experimental meaningful pieces representing me as an artist and person. I have worked with textiles, plaster, resins, oil paints, acrylic paint, and clay – all that has gotten me to where I am today. My practice is still just beginning, and I will continue to explore the mind through my making.
