For my final year project, my work is a clash of digital and traditional mediums. The idea of mixing these 2 together interests me as both as tools I have used extensively over my artist career. My biggest struggle within my practice has been picking between the two sides, as one side of my family works entirely traditionally, and the other works digitally. This contrast is what I wanted to focus on as the main theme of this year’s project.
The main processes I have used have been ‘Digital 3D paintings’ and ‘Physical Acrylic Paintings’ based on resolution. These are both ideas which combine digital and physical work, mostly in clashing ways.
The main idea behind why I chose this clash of mediums, is my personal struggle within my artwork.
