Women hold up half the sky?
How have Chinese female artists reconsidered and presented female identity in their work.
Through the journey of the 20th century, Chinese female artists have attempted through their practices to instigate societal change and help facilitate the liberation of women. Through the use of multimedia technology fused with traditional Chinese art forms these women’s work has tackled pervasive sexism in China whilst reflecting on their own identities.
The annual Degree Show is a highly anticipated event amongst staff, students, external partners and friends of the School of Art – it provides a platform for the work that the students have spent so long conceiving and producing.
