During my Arts and Project Management MA I used collaborative stitch as a form of interview with citizens to inform my role as a creative practitioner. I also used this method to interview artists and facilitators to understand how they manage their time and define their roles within collaborative projects.Using my tool Connect More (pictured) the collaborative stitched artwork, “Between Me and You” includes the hands of 24 people their hopes, dreams, quiet confidences, learning and ideas. Connect More was developed with Dual Works and informed by my longstanding stitch practice working with community groups. The arts service business idea of one-to-one stitching within creative health won a Highly Commended award in this year’s Steamhouse Hatchery programme.
