Women hold up half the sky?
How have Chinese female artists reconsidered and presented female identity in their work.
Through the journey of the 20th century, Chinese female artists have attempted through their practices to instigate societal change and help facilitate the liberation of women. Through the use of multimedia technology fused with traditional Chinese art forms these women’s work has tackled pervasive sexism in China whilst reflecting on their own identities.
Kaleidoscope is an exhibition celebrating the talent and creativity from 2022’s MA students at Birmingham School of Art.
