My arts practice is centred around the symbiotic relationship between artist and curator. I employ the use of colour theory to explore how monochrome collections effect a viewer’s perception of colour.

I use a psychogeographical method of collecting. A map of my movement is documented through collecting like a time capsule. I then consider my emotional connection to the objects by personifying them and creating a sentimental hierarchy.

This hierarchy becomes the framework for my methods of display. For The Yellow Museum: A Collection of Found Ephemera (2021), I produced a cabinet to house a monochromatic yellow collection. The 68 found objects dictated the shape and size of the cabinet.

My Birmingham in Yellow (2020) catalogue was displayed at IKON gallery in May 2021
