The theme of my work is time and change. How an object, a person or a memory can change in a matter of time. Whether the change is made naturally or forced. I am showing this through a series of zines, that all tell a story through a piece of text and photographs.

The decisions that I made all started from the memory of my Grandad and photographing memorable objects, which is where the idea of capturing time and memory came from.

The media I tend to work with is photography, I like the idea of having ‘another eye’, being able to capture a moment. Nature, product photography and portraiture are the main aspects I like to photograph and relate to my themes for this work. I also use photoshop for post-production to finalise my photos.

All my photographs share the same themes of time, change and memory, which ties individual pieces into a whole. An artist that influenced my work is Sam Taylor Wood, who created a time lapse of fruit decaying. The intention behind my work is to show time, whether it is showing change or a memory.

A digital illustration showing a small boy by his bed. His mum is facing the wall so all we can see is her back. The woman and young boy are both African-Caribbean. The scene shows a boys bedroom, it is dark blue and there is a small desk and chair with a book shelf to its left.
