I found that creating art from such ‘dreams’ establishes a form of escape that allows me to offload all that keeps me holding back. Before starting university, I found research stressful as I would always put myself down on my skill level – wishing I could paint like my favourite artists. Allowing my research to inspire me and support my developments rather than intimidate me, I have achieved such experimental meaningful pieces representing me as an artist and person.
