#MA Art and Design Interdisciplinary Practices #MA Courses
The art of manipulating and building in space has been his main practice for a long time. His study looks into the ways we can break realities rules of a space and throw into question why we behave the way we do in certain spaces. As well as exploiting the rules of the space. How a space can be arranged to influence an audiences behaviour using a whole range of media; sound, lighting, video, photography, sculpture, any thing that can cause change in a space.
The Practice focus of this module has been heavily influenced by personal matters which have led to an interest in sounds power to free the mind and how it can be used in a space to help with therapy. Researching methods of therapy combined with his practice has resulted in work that attempts to immerse those in the space into a state of relaxation. Movements in the sound allow it to stimulate the users brain, encouraging the brain frequencies to align with that of the music. Thus, resulting in a state of euphoria where in some cases pain and mental health has got better. The focus of the study is to learn how to help those who suffer from anxiety and other issues.
