Threads of Tradition: A Visual Dialogue between Tamil culture and perception of the self
My project crafts a visual language, melding Tamil cultural ideologies of self with contemporary practice. Through automatic drawings, ritual, performance and symbolic motifs, I aim to depict the threads of the unseen self. Cultural relics, like Salangai bells and Kolam rice, are used in this project, which focuses on a nuanced realm of collective consciousness.
