I make narrative works that combine video, sound, graphics and instillation. Artists who produce speculative work, and that inform my practice are Adam Curtis, Metaheaven and Hito Steyel. Each positively influence specific areas of my practice from the narrative to aesthetic of my work. I love film and storytelling both fictional and non-fictional.
All work I produce has personal elements of my life throughout. The work is intended to be inherently narrative driven and immerse my audience in a unique way by combining both the speculative engagement stories offer and the idea of being meta, an illusion shattering form most films rebel. I want this to play on the audiences ability to suspend disbelief. Something I’ve always wanted my work to accomplish is self reflection from the audience in response to my relevant themes of technological need or humanitarian and social ideologies. Creating art that people can find both interesting and uniquely engaging is my key aim as an artist.
