My fine art practice focusses greatly on process, with the idea of creating unbounded artwork that is neither sculpture nor painting. I tend to work in a way that doesn’t require a specific outcome, taking inspiration from post-minimalist artist’s use of gravity and chance. I focus on using textile processes and materials, along with paint, wood and plastic. Combining these often opposing materials to build spontaneous, abstracted pieces inspired by natural environments.
The annual Degree Show is a highly anticipated event amongst staff, students, external partners and friends of the School of Art – it provides a platform for the work that the students have spent so long conceiving and producing.
