I am an artist who works in mainly portraiture and realism. I use oils paints as my medium as well as acrylic paints. My work is currently focusing on key moments in my life and important figures around me. Mainly around my culture, the Yoruba tribe. The use of bold colours is quite consistent in my work. The themes I use are things that I relate to or I have come across in life. I think that traditions and culture hold a great significance in one’s identity.
The annual Degree Show is a highly anticipated event amongst staff, students, external partners and friends of the School of Art – it provides a platform for the work that the students have spent so long conceiving and producing.
