I work with Crochet, Latex, Silicone, Sculpture and Painting. I aim to make my work feel fleshy and give a sense of realism through body. The themes surrounding my work are Bodily autonomy, abjection, gore, domesticity, feminism and sexuality. Images of the body through Vagina’s, Penis’ and Breasts translates verbatim but also through spider webs, crochet hooks and spirals. My motif is the spider- creator, artist, homemaker, weaver, powerful and abjectfully feared.
The annual Degree Show is a highly anticipated event amongst staff, students, external partners and friends of the School of Art – it provides a platform for the work that the students have spent so long conceiving and producing.
