Kim explores the liminal space between girlhood and womanhood, underpinned by childhood dreams and their fragility. Her art is made with materials that are intuitive to what the work is trying to say. These include film, found objects and text. She investigates how her own girlhood desires translate into grown-up art, and how other women interact with, relate to, or oppose this.
