“What’s more vulnerable, creating works which grow from your deepest and most personal experiences, or having to explain that creation’s status as an artwork, and thus your status as an artist in a short few lines of text?  

My work tends to stem from broken places: grief, betrayal, trauma, making it an expansion of me, a glimpse of myself forever frozen in time, reclaiming the pieces of me that have been taken. Often, my works are wrapped with yarn or tape; a repetitive, caring process, covering them in the protective blanket that I long to give myself.”
