After developing an interest in the organisation and management of creative arts projects during my BA Honours degree in Art and Design at the School of Art, I decided to continue with my studies by undertaking a Masters degree in Arts and Project Management. This course has enabled me to build on my knowledge of organising various projects, exhibitions and learning a range of marketing skills.

For my final major project, I developed my own market research and a marketing plan for Sweetshop Revolution Dance Company’s upcoming 2022 tour “I’m Not Dead, I’m Only Sleeping” which also included a fundraising campaign and the company running dance workshops in care homes and hospices. I analysed their current marketing strategies, and researched methods for marketing the tour, fundraising campaign and workshops and how the marketing activity could be managed.

I am particularly interested in social media and digital communication methods for marketing different aspects of creative arts projects, and how we are able to maximise the use of online tools to reach wider audiences. I am also continuing to develop my photography and design skills and I am interested creating promotional content for creative arts projects such as social media content, email marketing campaigns and physical materials such as posters, flyers and publications.

A black and white photograph shows the backs of two women as they walk towards a series of trees and small buildings in the distance. The photograph is a scan from the analogue film and details of the film can be seen at the top and bottom of the image, including the words Ilford HP5 Plus at the top and a series of light grey graphic shapes at the bottom.
