My practice is influenced mainly by music and a more hands on approach to work influenced by the DIY aesthetic of punk and the Dada movement. For this project I decided to explore how the coronavirus affected the music industry. I decided to use Jean-Michel Basquiat methods in my work and I have tried to incorporate his style of roughly applied paint and mark-making into my collage work. The processes I use in my practice are screen printing and collage/photomontage. I find that these methods help represent the aesthetic that I try to achieve in my work.
