I use sculpture to manipulate the distances and connections between materials, creating uncertain forms that relish close attention. I exploit the language of touch via the playful yet careful handling of a range of familiar materials, including pallet wrap, Vaseline and hair. Taking cues from observed natural forms and the materials themselves, my work explores the industrially made with the grown, boundaries of materials and the body, whilst balancing appeal and repulsion.
