Mia Oz’s work is inspired by the non-human, human and their interactions with each other in the world. Through collisions of painting and film, she explores the position of the individual, the lone figure, and the onlooker. Art becomes an outlet to process life around her, encountering places, people, and imagery to inform work fusing physical and digital processes, searching for the boundaries between abstraction and figuration.
The annual Degree Show is a highly anticipated event amongst staff, students, external partners and friends of the School of Art – it provides a platform for the work that the students have spent so long conceiving and producing.
